BS, Biomedical/Medical Engineering, Boston University, 2023
During my undergraduate years, I studied biomedical engineering with a focus in computer engineering. I gained research experience in synthetic biology through working as an Undergraduate Research Opportunities Student in two different labs. For my first project, I focused on optogenetics and engineered E. coli to express a fluorescent protein in response to blue light. I then characterized this system using microfluidics and microscopy. In my second lab, I pivoted to an immunological application of synthetic biology and worked on implementing an AND logic gate design in CAR T cells.
I joined the Littman Lab as a research technician with the hope of learning more about immunology and to work with animal models. I am especially interested in the interactions between the gut microenvironment and T cells, as it combines and expands a bit of my previous knowledge.
Outside of the lab, I enjoy slowly morphing into a crazy cat lady and trying lots of desserts!
